I move country every couple of years. My students come with me.
That is the real reason I teach online, and it is the thing I would want to know if I were choosing a teacher for my child.
I have been teaching for over eight years — a private primary school, preschools, language academies, private classes at kitchen tables and on screens. I have taught two-year-olds and I have taught adults. I started as a general teacher and moved to English as fast as I could, because English was the part I actually loved.
Every couple of years I move. Smaller towns in Poland, then Warsaw, then Valencia, and since 2025 Bilbao. Each move used to mean saying goodbye to a room full of students halfway through the year. I hated that part. Teaching online solved it: wherever I go next, the lesson happens at the same time on the same day and nothing changes for the family.
I am Polish, and I learned English the way your child is learning it — as a second language, from zero, up to C1. I know exactly what it feels like to have the word somewhere in your head and not be able to reach it. That is not a small thing when the student in front of you is nine years old and embarrassed.
